- LOCAL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT
Guided by our Horizon 3 of “Life after Diamond Mining”, we have joined hands with the local communities to come up with Local Enterprise development projects. This is an inexpensive way of formulating and implementing broad -based economic empowerment of alleviating poverty through self-employment opportunities.

Community Buying Framework
Under this initiative, we have incorporated the local communities into our value chain as suppliers of horticulture, livestock and poultry products. Monthly, we are injecting a fortune towards the purchase of our consumables from the local community.
Sewing Factory
We refurbished and converted the building structure of one of the former miners and turned it into a sewing factory and purchased state of the art sewing machinery. Through this initiative several local men and woman were equipped with various sewing disciplines both practically and theoretically. Currently, the factory employs fifteen men and women from the local community. The factory is supplying all ZCDC PPE as well as uniforms to schools and churches.
